Fish-eagles, Fishing-eagles
and Palmnut Vulture

The eight species of fish-eagles, which include the American Bald Eagle, are magnificent raptors. Whether soaring on their long, broad wings or standing imperiously on a lookout perch, they exude enormous power, even though they are not averse to saving energy by eating carrion. Grouped with the true fish-eagles on these plates are the smaller Asian fishing-eagles and the strange, fruit-eating Palmnut Vulture from Africa.
