ABOUT THE BIRDS Little is known about the habits of the Nicobar Sparrowhawk, which is found only in dense forest. Lizards apparently form the bulk of its diet.

The Crested Goshawk and the Sulawesi Crested Goshawk are impressive raptors. Despite their slim build, they have powerful feet and bills for their size, and can take a variety of prey including birds, lizards and mammals. Both species are forest dwellers, preferring areas that are interspersed with open ground.
